My name is Elijah W. Siegrist and I was born in Seattle Washington and for most of my early life I moved from place to place depending on where my father (Chief Petty Officer Jeremy J. Siegrist) was stationed at the time. i’ve lived in Sicily, Norfolk, Pittsburgh, and finally stopped in Minster Ohio when my dad retired. Due to this I have had a unique perspective about life in a small town, which helped me succeed in highschool and continues to push me past my limits in college. I currently have a GPA of 3.1 and am constantly striving to improve both this and my work ethic.
Education and Career Goals
Currently I possess a highschool diploma from Minster Local Schools and am pursuing a bachelors degree in Multi-Platform Journalism with a minor in Communication from Bowling Green State University. After I obtain this degree I want to enlist in the United States Navy as a Communications Specialist, as I believe they will provide me the opportunity to further my experience within the field of journalism to prepare me for any future endeavors.
On campus I am a member of the Zeta Lambda chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon, a IFC (Interfraternity Council) affiliated fraternity that is know for helping prepare young men for the future by providing them the tools and companionship needed to excel in the working world. I am currently attempting to become the next Grammateus, a position on my Chapters Executive Board that essentially fills the role of a secretary.
