My name is Cornasia Sandford and I am 4th year first-generation college student from Cleveland, OH. I am currently enrolled in the school of Media & Communication at Bowling Green State University. My career aspirations are to work in an industry where I can make a difference for people of color by increasing their representation the media.
Throughout my time at BGSU, I have invested myself into learning new skills across all forms of media. I’ve interned as a reporter and photographer for the BG news, where several pieces of my work have been published; I’ve participated in Falcon Comm, which is a student-led PR Firm that handles on and off campus clients; I’m currently on the marketing team for TRIO Programs as their social media coordinator; and I’m currently apart of a Pod Cast called True 2 self, that was created by me and three other students earlier this year.
As far as other activities, I am currently the president of Curly Connection, a natural hair organization I co-founded in 2018; I am apart of the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program; and I am a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.
