Top YouTubers by Subscribers

As one of the biggest video sharing platforms to date, YouTube has grown tenfold since it’s humble beginnings back in 2005. In just 15 years, some of the biggest content creators have amassed millions of subscribers. Users can view, like, and save videos that anyone shares, or upload their own videos and grow their own channel.

YouTube has also increased the popularity of “vlogging” which is the same as blogging but recorded as a video instead. Vlogs have become some of the most popular content viewers head to YouTube to watch. Some notable bloggers include, David Dobrik, Jeffree Star and JackSepticEye. However none of these vloggers made the list of the top subscribed YouTubers.

At the top of the list is T-Series. T-Series is a music and film record label that is based in India. They only recently came into the number one spot, one that PewDiePie held since 2013. T-Series took the number one spot from Pewds (a.k.a. Felix Kjellberg) in 2019 after a long fought battle. Many notable YouTubers tried to urge their own subscribers to support Pewds, including MrBeast and Logan Paul.

PewDiePie is a one man gaming channel, who gained popularity in the early 2010’s for playing video games and filming his reactions. Some of the notable titles he played that gained him popularity included Slender Man, and Amnesia, which are both horror games that make for a great reaction.

Some other popular types of videos on YouTube include music channels. Some who are on the list of top subscribers include VEVO channels. VEVO is a music video channel that has multiple “sub” channels, such as KATYPERRYVEVO and EDSHEERANVEVO, which made the list.

Overall, it is easy to see why YouTube is as popular as it is. Nicco Pedone, who is a frequent user of the site said, “The content on the website is never ending, I could watch for 24 hours a day every day and never run out of videos.” Subscribing to channels you enjoy only makes the online experience more enjoyable. Keep supporting your favorite small channels, and they might make this list one day!

The History of Nintendo

As a new fan of Animal Crossing, I had a thought. Nintendo has been around for a while now, hasn’t it? I wanted to dig a little deeper, and get the full picture of the company and it’s growth over the decades. Starting all the way back in 1889, the journey is one to be taken visually.
Please enjoy this timeline I created on Nintendo’s vast history.

Game of Thrones for TV has come to an end… but what about the book series?

I have FINALLY finished reading the first Game of Thrones book written by George R. R. Martin… and let me just say. What a journey.

I have not yet watched the television series since I heard the books and show differ greatly. So I decided to put faces to the names and create a ThingLink to show some of the most badass moments these characters had, as well as some descriptions about them too.

I am so excited to read the rest of the series and await (with everyone else) the final book to The Songs of Ice and Fire series. Happy reading!

Don’t think you can cook? Try this easy HEALTHY recipe!

Sometimes, cooking can seem daunting to those with little experience. I challeneged myself to make a full, healthy dinner in under an hour and here’s how I did it!

The prize jewel of this meal is the stuffed peppers. To prepare, you need (you guessed it) some large bell peppers! Wash and prepare as few or as many as you like, I personally made four as meal prep for the rest of the week. After you wash the peppers, cut off the tops and gut the seeds so you have an open boat. Set those aside and preheat your oven to 425 degrees while you prepare the filling.

For the inside of the peppers, I cooked some ground beef on the stove at medium heat. Once the meat browned, I dried it, then put it back on the stove on low heat and added some diced onion, water, and taco seasoning. I also added in some corn for the inside of the peppers than used the leftover corn as a side. Fill up your peppers, then throw them in the oven for about 45 minutes.

The other side I prepared was some sweet potato fries. All you have to do is cut up a sweet potato into cubes (which was a lot harder than it sounds) and then toss them in a bowl with a little bit of olive oil, some rosemary, and salt and pepper to your liking. They also cook at 425 for around 15 minutes.

And that’s it! All that was left was to enjoy, I know I did. My twitter is @CourtneyBrihan
