My name is Audrey Cass, I am a senior planning to obtain a degree in public relations and marketing at Bowling Green State University. After graduation, I hope to work in PR and marketing for a health and wellness company such as RX bar, a protein bar company, in Chicago, Illinois. I have always been passionate about taking care of your body mentally and physically and hope to help others gain the same perspective through promoting my future job.I eventually want to start my own company promoting a healthy lifestyle. I would love for my future business to revolve around some type of food or active wear. BGSU has helped me find myself and figure out what I am truly passionate about and want to do when I don't have school work to do.
On campus, I work with Falcon Communications. It is a student-run public relations firm. I work with different clients such as the Falcon News to create a social media vision that relates to their brand, manage all of Falcon New’s social media platforms to create new content and use Microsoft excel, Adobe, and buffer to create and schedule social media posts.I am also involved with PRSSA where I attend speakers and career building workshops to expand my knowledge of the public relations field and learn about planning campus events while gaining fundraising skills for the organization.
Off campus, I work for a chiropractic office as a therapy assistant. This has allowed me to advance my communication skills while working on patients and answering their questions about their healing processes. I create Powerpoint slides for the waiting rooms and doctor’s rooms as well as music playlists for the whole office.
