A Little Bit About Me

Hello! Welcome to my very first website!

My name is Bailee Lane and I am a sophomore at Bowling Green State University. I am a Public Relations major with a minor in Leadership. I am involved in the Falcon Leadership Institute. This year, I am working with Falcon Communications which is the universities first PR firm. My job is with Off Campus student services. With that, I run social media and make sure commuter students feel more welcomed and involved on campus.

This year at BGSU, I plan on continuing in participating in Falcon Communications, The Letter Project, being a mentor for new Falcon Leadership Institute students, working at Local Roots Juice Co. and running my small “business” out of my dorm room making scrunchies to save up for a service trip to Fiji!

This upcoming summer I have the opportunity to go to Fiji and work with kids, build schools, and do other service projects in the communities that need help there. This will be my second mission trip, my first was in Ecuador in June of 2018. This upcoming trip is through an organization called VESA. Their goal is to help students make connections and gain lifelong experience while aiming to secure long-term social and environmental change for these communities.

My long term career goal after college is to work within an advertising team of a company. I would like to change the look of having thin models in almost every kind of advertisement. I firmly believe that there should be more representation of all types of people in all advertisements all the time and not just when that certain group is discriminated against. One of my main focuses is generally having more representation in the media of real world people.
