My name is John Hahn, I’m a Sophomore, Broadcast Journalism student at Bowling Green State University (BGSU). My works include radio production and editing with WYSO, an NPR affiliate in Yellow Springs, Ohio, as well as being featured in Dayton Youth Radio, in which I spoke about the impacts of the Great Recession on the Rust Belt. I also interned at WYSO in the summer of 2019. I have on-air experience with my high school radio station, WCWT, in Centerville, Ohio, including being a finalist for the IBS (Intercollegiate Broadcasting System) awards in both football play-by-play and best PSA (Public Serive Announcement). I have had one story published in the BG News and hope to write more. My skills include extensive knowledge of Hindenburg and Adobe Audition as well as basic skills in Apple Final Cut Pro. In the future I hope to work in public media. One of my passions is that for the outdoors. I go kayaking regularly on the Little Miami River in Bellbrook, Ohio. I have also been canoeing in the Boundary Waters in Northern Minnesota and continue to be involved in BGSU’s Outdoor Adventure Club.
